Year 7
In the first term of Year 7 all students study two modules, the first is an induction into Secondary School, the second considers Protective Behaviour and resisting peer pressure. During the following two terms they look at a range of units including the Community Awareness, Looking after Yourselves (focusing on healthy eating, exercise etc), Personal Safety, the Family and Relationships, Diverse Britain and Environmental Awareness. Some aspects of business, economic and financial awareness are also covered. It is intended that this program will assist students in becoming informed, active and responsible members of society.
It is hoped that by the end of the year all students will have gained a basic knowledge of the modules covered together with some key skills in enquiry and communications, participations and repsonsible action. Currently there is no formal assessment of Citizenship in Year 7.

Year 8
During the year all students study a range of modules which include Careers Awareness and Study Skills, Sex, Relationship and Health Education, Drugs Education, Local Government and Community Responsibility, and Emergency Aid. Some aspects of business, economic and financial awareness are also covered. It is intended that this program will assist students in becoming informed, active and responsible members of society.
It is hoped that by the end of the year students will have gained a basic knowledge of the modules covered, together with some key skills in enquiry and communication, participations and responsible action. Currently there is no formal assessment of Citizenship in Year 8.

Year 9
During the year all students study a range of modules which include Careers Awareness and Study Skills, Sex, Relationship and Health Education, Drugs Education, Local Government and Community Responsibility, and Emergency Aid. Students will be assessed for their oral and written work at least once during each module they study. This will be the basis upon which their final end of KS3 level is based, according to NC standards of 1 - 7.

Year 10
During the year all students study a range of modules which include Careers Education, Self-Awareness and Study Skills, Sex and Relationship Education, Drugs Education and Human right issues both National and global. Some aspects of business, economic and financial awareness are also covered. It is intended that this program will assist students in becoming informed, active and responsible members of society.
It is hoped that by the end of the uear all students will have gained a basic knowledge of the modules covered together with some key skills in enquiry and communication, participation and responsible action. Currently there is no formal assessment of Citizenship in Year 10.

Year 11

Then for the remaining two terms they look at a range of units including Personal Finance and Economic Awareness, Examination Preparation, Current Affairs and the Media. Some aspects of business, economic and financial awareness are also covered. It is intended that this programme will enable students to become informed, active and responsible members of society.
