At The Priory School we believe in developing the whole individual through our school vision of Responsibility, Respect and Resilence. At The Priory School there are many ways that we ensure we are able to offer our students SMSC:

1.   The Spiritual development of our students is shown through:

  • P&E teaching in Year 7-11
  • P&E trips in Year 7 and Year 8
  • Assemblies
  • Form time activities including discussions and debate
  • Black history celebrations
  • Celebration and acknowledgement of festivals e.g. Eid, Ramadan, Diwali, Christmas etc
  • Creative work e.g. creative writing, artistic pieces
  • Bereavement group

2.   The Moral development of our students is shown through:

  • P&E teaching in Year 7-11
  • Ethics teaching in Year 12/13
  • Form time discussion around current affairs
  • Citizenship teaching in Key Stage 3
