Post 16 Pathways Evening – 25th October
Parents / Carers of Year 11s are invited to a Post 16 Pathways Evening at The Priory School on Thursday 25th October 2018 to focus on your child’s progression into Post 16 education and/or training. During the evening you will receive information about the variety of options available to your child at Post 16, including progression into Sixth Form, information on apprenticeships and guidance on college courses. There will also be representation from YC Hertfordshire at this event, so it is very important that all parents, carers and students attend – whatever their plans for Post 16. It is not just an evening for those intending to continue into Sixth Form but is an opportunity to consider the wide variety of options available and to discuss these opportunities with teaching staff and other representatives.
There will be two opportunities to hear the presentation – one at 6.30pm and one at 7.15pm. Information stalls will be running from 7pm until 8.30pm in the Café area. You are welcome to come to whichever presentation you wish and to visit the stalls at the best time to suit you.
As a Sixth Form we operate as part of a Consortium with Hitchin Boys’ School (HBS) and Hitchin Girls’ School (HGS) to provide a very extensive range of both traditional as well as vocational courses, all of which offer progression into Further Education and employment. Some courses are only offered at either HBS or HGS, so you are invited to attend their Option Evenings to find out more about these courses:
Hitchin Boys’ School – Tuesday 23rd October 2018 at 7.00pm
Hitchin Girls’ School – Wednesday 24th October 2018 at 6.30pm
If you have any queries about the courses available for Post 16 at The Priory School, please do not hesitate to contact me – firstname.lastname@example.org.
