Our Online Offering and Open Evening 2020
Due to the restrictions imposed upon school because of the coronavirus pandemic, our usual Open Evening and morning tours will this year take on a new look. This page should give you the information and links you need to find out more about life at The Priory School and how you can get involved with our virtual Open Evening on Thursday 8th October. Sadly, we will not be hosting any open morning tours this year.
Firstly, you may like to browse through our new online prospectus. Please click the link below to access this. Within it, you can read information and watch short presentations about a number of different areas of the school, including academic success, learning outside the classroom and our new Google Chromebook scheme, as well as watching our #YourPrioryJourney day-in-the-life of a TPS student.
Next, you have the chance to use our interactive 360 Tour of the school by following this link. Within this, you can tour through classrooms and social areas of the school at your own pace and click on the icons to reveal photos, tweets and video clips showing you more about life here.
Open Evening – Thursday 8th October 2020
Bookings Now Closed
Our Open Evening event will be a virtual one and unfortunately we will not be able to have visitors to school. You are invited to take part in one of our Virtual Open Evening Google Meet sessions. After signing up for one of these sessions, you will be sent a meeting code to take part in a meeting hosted by two of our students between 5.30pm and 9pm on 8th October. They will welcome you, show you video clips of school life and take your questions about their experiences of being a TPS student. To sign up for a Google Meet tour, please follow this link and ensure you have signed up before Monday 5th October. You will be emailed a Google Meet link to use on the evening. Each session should take approximately 40 minutes and there is no need to have a Google account to access the meeting.
On the evening of the 8th October, we will also post video addresses from the Headteacher, our Head Students Amy and Chloe and current Year 7 students, all to give you their perspectives on The Priory. Parents and their children will also be able to access video entries from each Head of Department to enable you to hear more about specific parts of the school you may be interested in.
A reminder to all families that your application for secondary schools should be made by Saturday 31st October. You can access the relevant application forms here:
