I have worked in education for the past 11 years, enjoying a career that has seen me working with a plethora of learners, ranging from nursery-aged children to SEN children to adults. Over the years I have worked in front-facing teacher roles, with a specialism in English. Of late I am working more behind the scenes in a Quality role, which I thoroughly enjoy.
My main aim in my career has always been to make a difference, whether as a teacher or in a Quality role. As a Parent Governor I welcome the opportunity to do just that.
I am passionate about Diversity and Inclusion and champion this in all that I do. I am a keen educationalist with a thirst for learning which has stood me in good stead over the years, helping me to develop both personally and professionally.
Outside of my work commitments I enjoy spending time with my young family exploring the delights of the outdoors.
