1st March 2021
Welcome To Year 7 at TPS
In the last few days we have been given the initial lists of students who will form our new Year 7 cohort in September 2021. We look forward to welcoming you all on board your journey through secondary school. There are lots of exciting opportunities ahead and each of you will be part of a 210-strong year group.
Over the next few weeks and months, information about primary visits, uniform, induction days and more will be sent out to parents. However, this process only begins once the final intake lists are confirmed and the appeals process is finished. As such, parents of our new students should wait for this information, likely to arrive soon after Easter, rather than ringing ahead to the school office.
Each and every child will be visited at their primary school in May and June (dependent on covid meeting rules) and you might like to make a note of the Induction Day and Evening events that are pencilled in for July 8th. If your child attends a school where only one or two students are likely to come to Priory, there is also a further transition morning. Details about all events will follow in due course.
In the meantime, you can keep in touch with developments in the school via our website (www.priory.herts.sch.uk) or our Twitter feed (@TPS_Hitchin). You can also have a look at our 360 tour – http://priorysch.uk/360 – and click on the icons in the tour to see some pictures and video clips of what life is like here.
If you would like to start exploring uniform purchases, please visit the website of Beat School Uniform who are based in Hitchin who supply us and take a look at the Beat School Uniforms’ Guide to Buying Uniform.
Once again, welcome to our school community. We will be in touch soon with lots more detail of what happens between now and September.
