Working with young people of the calibre of our Year 13 students has been a privilege and delight for colleagues at The Priory School. The inclusive culture of our 6th form and the rich diversity created by being a part of the Post 16 Hitchin consortium has ensured that our students are well prepared for the next chapter in their life. At The Priory School we ensure that our students have outstanding career advice and support to make informed decisions. Year on year we have seen a steady increase in the number of students embarking on high level apprenticeships and going on to study at leading universities. The dedication and professionalism of teachers, the outstanding work of our Post 16 team along with our wonderful parent body has laid the foundations for future success; many of these students will become leaders in our ever-changing society.
In the words of Michelle Obama, ‘The ability to read, write, and analyse; the confidence to stand up and demand justice and equality; the qualifications and connections to get your foot in the door and take your seat at the table – all of that starts with education.’
Mrs Hadaway Head of 6th Form said, ‘These results are a testament to the character of our Year 13 cohort. Their determination and efforts have been rewarded with excellent results that will open many doors for them in the future. As always, we are excited to see students embarking on their next challenges.’
