Committees: Curriculum & Progress

I am a biochemical engineer by training and have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for most of my career holding positions of technical leadership and management. I have recruited young people into the industry and employed school leaver apprentices. I now run a consultancy business helping small pharma companies with regulatory submissions and completing regulatory compliance training to ensure that processes met the required international requirements.

I am also an Independent External Assessor of degree apprenticeships in the life sciences and engineering sectors and have a good understanding of technical education through apprenticeships.

My daughter attends The Priory so I have a vested interest in the continued high quality of the provision that the school offers. I am currently the membership secretary for Hitchin Rugby Club Mini & Youth section and have coached youth rugby up until recently.

I went to school in Hitchin myself and while I left a long time ago to live in various parts of the country I recently returned to live locally and am keen to ensure that future generations have the best opportunities available to them.

I love rugby (sadly only watching now) and still attempt to play cricket (some would say should stick to watching that too!), I enjoy travelling and own a camper van which we try to get away in as much as possible particularly for music festivals and to explore interesting restaurants up and down the country.
