Aim Higher Day

On Friday 16th May, a group of Year 9 students visited the University of Hertfordshire for a taster of life in higher education. They took part in a range of activities, including a Year One philosophy lecture delivered by a PhD student who was extremely impressed with their mature attitude and thoughtful questions. The final challenge of the day was to put together a presentation entitled “Why Choose University?” The final results were outstanding and it was difficult for the judges to choose a winner, but they finally settled on “Open the Book to the Rest of Your Life”. Well done to all the students who took part – they were an absolute credit to the school throughout the day.
