Charity News

Our first Charity Week of this academic year started on Monday 19th November in aid of Children in Need. Florence Tyrtania who is our Sixth Form Charity Prefect worked hard to decorate Reception and other areas of school to get all of us in the Pudsey spirit! All week students planned and ran their own charity events from hot chocolate sales to football matches – it was a brilliant week of fundraising! The student raffle was a big success with lots of local businesses donating items and vouchers. The week ended with Non-Uniform Day on Friday 23rd November. Our final fundraising total was £1,624, and as TPS is a BBC fundraising partner school, Lloyds Bank will match this total.

Our next Charity Week will be taking place w/c Monday 25th March, which will be for the local charity Phase.

We have other charity events taking place in the run up to Christmas – Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children on Friday 14th December and the Key Stage 3 Christmas Fayre at the end of term for Keech Hospice.

It has been a very busy term so far with a number of charity events taking place, such as MacMillan Coffee Morning, Think Pink day, The Poppy Appeal and Jeans for Genes day – thank you to everyone who has taken part and supported these events in order to ensure they continue to be successful year on year.
