On 1st October a class of Year 11s went on a trip to Chilfen Joinery in Letchworth, where they learnt about the manufacturing industry first hand. They learnt all about the Computer Aided Design used to create detailed drawing and sketches of products through to the Computer Aided Manufacture machines that produced them and all about batch manufacturing in an assembly line for their coursework and exam in Product Design.
