TPS Artwork Commemorates WW1 Centenary

TPS artwork is currently on display in Hitchin town centre to commemorate the WW1 centenary.

The images of the two soldiers represent the different groups that fought in WW1. They were taken from original photos of WW1 soldiers and digitally manipulated to simplify them for greater visual impact.

The background is a collage of imagery of WW1 and also newspaper clippings. Amongst this are the names of all the battles that happened during WW1, and under the red paint, which signifies the red poppies, are all the names of the young men from Hitchin who sadly lost their lives.
