Safeguarding Link

Growing up on a farm influenced my early career as a trainer in estate and habitat management. Over a few role changes I have always worked in the independent education sector, latterly being focused on working with young people who have faced disadvantage and those who require more support to become successful. Linked to this is the desire that these young people get the best opportunities, which led me to want to make sure they had access to good quality educational opportunities and also to become an Ofsted Inspector.

I am passionate about how education is delivered, and I believe that The Priory School really seeks to meet the needs of their students based on my experience of my son’s time spent at The Priory. It was this positive approach from the start that prompted me to become a Governor and to support the school in return. My belief is about encouraging individuality and enabling young people to aspire, and in doing so to become successful and fulfilled citizens.

In my spare time I like hill walking, in particular the Peak District cycle, and I am just venturing with the idea of wild camping – always keen to try something new!
