Diane Morrad

Co-opted Governor

Committees: Wellbeing & Inclusion

I enjoyed a career in management and marketing roles in diverse sectors, including the hotel industry, not-for-profit/charities and construction, before completing an MBA. I then launched my own business to deliver interim support to small firms regionally while working part time as a visiting lecturer at Hertfordshire Business School (University of Hertfordshire). A short illness prevented further commuting, but I was fortunate to secure a full-time position at the university and swapped careers. I have subsequently achieved a Doctorate and am currently a Principal Lecturer in Marketing, with responsibility for the Postgraduate Marketing degree. On behalf of my faculty, I undertake a range of roles relating to staff wellbeing and to learning and teaching.

I have always liked to undertake ‘pro bono’ roles alongside my work commitments and previously volunteered for various charities. I have also been a Trustee for a large charity working with young people. With my particular interest in raising the aspirations of young people and mental wellbeing I was delighted to accept the invitation to join the Board of Governors at The Priory School in late 2020.

Outside of work I am a member of a local drama group.
