As Headteacher at The Priory School, Hitchin, I attend all Governors’ meetings and answer all questions posed by Governors in support of their vital role in holding me and the school leadership team to account.
Before becoming the Headteacher at The Priory School, Hitchin, I was Deputy Headteacher at Saffron Walden County High School in Essex for five years and prior to that an Assistant Headteacher for three years. Before working in Essex, I taught History and served as a Head of Department and Head of Year at a secondary school in Cambridge. Before qualifying as a teacher, I worked as a cover supervisor in Cambridge and a Teaching Assistant in Norwich.
I undertook my degree in History & Politics at the University of East Anglia, followed by my teacher training and Master’s degree at Downing College, University of Cambridge. Outside of education, I served in The Royal Anglian Regiment and had the privilege of leading soldiers and worked alongside some fantastic people both in the UK and overseas.
I am married and have three lovely children.
