Ofsted Inspection 4th & 5th October 2022

Dear Parent /Carer

We have been notified today that we will be having an Ofsted inspection tomorrow which we are genuinely looking forward to.

At our last inspection, (February 2017), the school was judged to be Good and based on this we will be having a Section 8 inspection that will last two days and be carried out by  up to three inspectors.  The objective of the section 8 inspection is to ensure that we, as a school, have maintained our standards and continue to provide our students with a good education. We are aiming to show the Inspection team that we are still at least Good with much Outstanding. What we want is for the Inspectors to say they will come back within
24 months and inspect the school under Section 5 which will give the school the opportunity to be judged Outstanding.

The Priory School has been on a journey of improvement which despite the impact of COVID has not slowed down our intent to provide the best learning experience for our young people. We are an oversubscribed school, with high expectations. Our focus on getting the basics right has ensured that students achieve extremely well in an inclusive learning environment.  We all know that qualifications are key to opening the door for future opportunities but it is the wider skills that we develop at the school that created the rounded young people we are so proud of.

Following is a link to the official Ofsted communication that is issued when an inspection is carried out:

Ofsted Letter to Parents

Please can I ask you to take a few minutes of your time to complete the Parent View survey which you can access through this link: https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk.

This inspection is our opportunity to celebrate and gain recognition for all the hard work that we have put into providing the best education for the young people of our community.

Thank you for your support.

Kind regards

Geraint Edwards
